Jogi Świadomej Traumy
starting May 6th - each Monday at 7pm CET
Trauma Sensitive Yoga TCTSY is now practiced in over 30 countries and territories worldwide and is one of the most advanced treatment programs that supports individuals with trauma in returning to themselves, feeling safer in the here and now, and befriending their own bodies.
TCTSY is an original yoga for trauma. It is the only the evidence-based yoga treatment for trauma based on over 20 years of clinical research, treating complex trauma (C-PTSD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). A formal diagnosis is not necessary for participation; it's enough if you feel you struggle with your relationship with your body or identify as someone who has experienced trauma, whether physical, psychological, sexual, verbal, childhood neglect, attachment wounds, racism, homophobia, oppression in any form, intergenerational, accumulation of chronic stress, or any other experience that you feel has overwhelmed your living body-mind system.
TCTSY is not psychotherapy, nor does it replace it; it is a stand alone therapy and can also be complementary because it works in a completely different way, bottom-up (from the body to the mind). As a TCTSY facilitator, I do not diagnose mental health disorders, and during TCTSY sessions we do not talk about or process past experiences.
Participation in psychotherapy is not required, as TCTSY is a standalone treatment; however, it is recommended to have some form of support system - whether a friend, therapist, coach, spiritual guide, etc. - because working with the body can evoke hidden body memory (implicit memory) to emerge. One effect of trauma is that we may not remember or have words for what happened, so working solely with the mind may not be sufficient. This memory becomes fragmented and stored as implicit memory - we may not remember, but our body still remembers to protect us, and often may perceive threat everywhere.
Although historically, trauma healing has focused solely on the mind and behavior, it is now recognized in trauma literature that remembering the body and the impact of trauma on our entire existence brings significant benefits (Ogden, van der Kolk, Levine, Rothschild, Emerson, Haines). TCTSY supports individuals in their healing journey, acknowledging the holistic impact of trauma on both the mind and body.
TCTSY in online form is increasingly being utilized and yields equally good results as in-person sessions. An additional advantage is that one can practice in the comfort and safety of their own space, and can turn off the camera if there is resistance to being seen by others - your resistance here is celebrated and recognized as the wisdom of your body.
"With yoga, I reclaimed my body. That is a gift because I so hated my body. Or I claimed it, not reclaimed, because I was so young. I claimed it. It was a long process to consider myself not an outline. ... I think yoga helped define me. Just inhabiting my own skin is a major step forward."
The benefits participants gain after 10 sessions:
- Reduction of C-PTSD/PTSD symptoms – 52% lose the diagnosis that lasted for years despite participating in psychotherapy
- Improvement in awareness, regulation, and emotional tolerance
- Stress reduction through the regulation of the nervous system
- Enhancement in functioning
- Diminishing anxious and depressive symptoms
- Greater tolerance for physical and sensory experiences
- Increased sense of safety and reduction of constant vigilance and bracing
- Greater ease in making choices and recognizing their effectiveness
- Practicing decision-making in relation to the body
- They feel they agency over their lives and can impact how they feel
- Greater self-awareness and compassion for oneself
- Deepening connections with other people
- Drawing strength from all these new experiences
These benefits persist for up to 1.5 years after the cycle of 10 sessions. In the latest research conducted in the USA, the results are comparable or even more effective than recommended CPT psychotherapy. Read more HERE.

"The constant reminders to go at your own pace and to listen to your body for what it needs and when it's ready to turn or how far it wants to turn that was super helpful and has extended in so many other places in my life. Yoga classes I have taken other places, I have heard people say, "You can push yourself; you don't realize what your body can do. Just push it." I feel like that's the kind of thing I have been doing my whole life. What is so valuable about this yoga class is that it was not about pushing yourself. It was about letting yourself get there in your own time."
Hey there! I'm Olga, your facilitator, and I've been on my own path to well-being and healing for the past 17 years. I know how much it might cost you to be here, to want to seek support, because I've been in a similar place myself - not discounting your experience, of course =). I'm someone who has experienced and lived unconsciously with C-PTSD for the first 25 years of my life. It's tough, and at the same time I believe it doesn't have to be a lifelong sentence.
Looking back a few years before I discovered Trauma Sensitive Yoga, even though I had already done therapy, seemingly had my life together, and even practiced yoga, I still had no knowledge about how trauma impacts the whole bodymind system and continued to harm myself in various ways - even on the yoga mat.
I pushed and forced my body and had no self-compassion or kindness towards myself because in the past, to survive, I had learned to prioritize the needs of others over my own. In exchange for safety and staying in connection with people, I lost touch with my body and my entire self, and my brilliant nervous system adapted in various ways to protect me. I used to think I was broken, but today I know I never was, I have a superpowers =)
Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to support you on your journey back to yourself!
"The core experiences of psychological trauma are disempowerment and disconnection from others. Recovery, therefore, is based upon the empowerment of the survivor and the creation of new connections."
